5 injured in shooting at southeast Houston bar, suspect still at large.
Sunday's shooting at a pub and nightclub in southeast Houston left five people hurt, and authorities are still seeking the shooter.
The Houston Police Department stated that although two patients are in critical condition, everyone will live. The three further victims sustained non-critical injuries.
Around 4:30 a.m., according to the Houston Police Department, two guys got into a fight in the parking lot of a business in a strip mall on the 9200 block of Gulf Motorway.
Authorities said that when one of the males was with his pals, a suspect approached them and pulled a revolver. The man recommended they have a fist fight to resolve their differences instead of Utilising a gun. Later, the situation was defused, the suspect put the pistol away, and the other man entered the bar with his pals.
The suspect also entered the structure before firing his rifle again. The man who got into an altercation with the suspect is in severe condition, and five people were shot.
According to the police, a group of individuals running out of the club hailed down an officer who was nearby the area looking into another matter. He was informed that there had been a firing.
An injured man was given first assistance by the officer, who was able to act immediately. According to the authorities, the man's condition is stable as a result of this.
Police are still looking into the shooting and think drinking may have been a factor.
There have recently been more reports of gunfire in the neighborhood.
Officers also asked people to please alert them of any after-hours bars, so they can look into these locations.
