The Melody of the Fall
The gorgeousness of the fall is all in virtue of its undiluted translucence. While we enjoy
the coolness and colorfulness of the nature, nothing could be more augmentative than
the companion of melodious music.
Texas Philharmonic Chinese Traditional Music Group is hereby introducing its Fall
Concert - commencing November 5th in Katy, texas. we welcome all enthusiasts to to
join our audience.
The featured performance, “The Butterfly Lovers’ violin concerto”, the orchestral
adaption of the story of the ancient Chinese version of Romeo and Juliet, is undoubtedly
the milestone of the Chinese music history. This masterpiece will be performed by
Andrew Meyer, our famous local violinist, and his wife, WenLi Zhou, a doctorate from
Shepherd School of Music of Rice University, will be joining him to our stage. Her piano
recital, “Liuyang River”, will be another highlight of this event.
The venue of the concert is kindly provided by Tompkins High School in Katy, Texas. It
is the first time for Chinese Language Society and Interact Association of Tompkins
High to organize a Chinese Cultural philanthropic performing event. This “The Butterfly
Lover’s” violin concerto will be a combination of charity fundraising, community
collaboration and art appreciation. The professional artists will be joined with young
music brilliances from high school, while all the funds raised will be donated to the
“Rotary Books for the World” program.
